All Interested in detecting and you do not have a machine yet

Fisher will soon release a new F75 LTD.

There will be many Original F75 machines available on the classified Ads.

This is a great opportunity to get a top line machine at a big savings. Keep in mind the original F75's are not that old, and work extremely well in just about every application.
Same goes for the Original Teknetics T2.....now is your chance to buy quality at a big savings to you. Either one F75/T2 will be a good purchase.
No I do not have one for sale.. I'm just trying to help you new interested people get a heads up.

Read the classifieds, check with the sponsoring dealers.

Elton, did you tell them about the warranty? Or about how only four AA batteries last for hours and hours, hunt after hunt? Did you tell them about how light they are, or how simple they are to set up? I would get another one if I didn't already have two.

Elton, You should tell them............

yeah!..elton!..tell 'em!..good thing i'm holdin' on to my 75 forever!..i think now i'll have 'em put it into the box with me when i go!..he! he! he!

Mine F 75 will remain with me even if I get a LTD. What could be better then a HOT F 75 as a backup.:fisher: HH jim tn

The warranty does not transfer though..Just a note....on that.

Thanks you guys.....I am one of those newbies and had a difficult time figuring out the BH cheapo I first bought.......I have read lots on Fisher's F75 that was on my X-mas list but Santa isn't around anymore for old timers like me, so I have to save my pennies but if I see one that fits in my budget, TRUST ME it will be mine.

BUT.....between the two which do you guys think is superior and WHY?

Thanks
Lou

I did not know the warranty doesn't transfer. I am sorry if I mislead anyone. But they still make new ones and a 5 year warranty is nice.

I cannot say which is better as I have never owned or used an F75. I do have a friend from my detecting club who seems very happy with his. He is 78 years old and hunts all day with it. I know that he has owned it for at least two years.

Remember that your local conditions and your choice of targets, could influence your decision.

hello all. i have to side with barnacle bill on this one. even used, a good f75 would still be 700+! and that's if the seller is in a good mood! that's pretty steep, babe! especially for a NEWBIE! hh!

It can be as simple as turn on and go in preset Discrimination. Settings aren't too hard for learning. You may well be correct.
I hadn't really thought about that before making my post.Hmmmmmmmm," maybe should have".

Used complex detector:

1. No dealer for support.
2. Maybe being sold because it has a problem.
3. No warranty or recourse

I would include not recommending a bunch of models & brands because of their complexity.

I agree with Bill. It doesn't have anything to do with whether the user interface is complicated to setup or turn on and go. It is easy to forget how much you have learned about interpreting the sounds and signals from your machine so that they become second nature to you and you don't even think about them, you just know what they mean. The thing about high end detectors is they are designed to give the operator a lot of subtle and complex information about the target that can overwhelm newbies. Most starter machines such as the Garratt 250 and the F2 are designed to give a much less ambiguous dig, don't dig type signal to the operator and so are much easier to interpret.

I think it would be very easy for a newbie to get confused by any high end machine. It is sort of like giving a newly licensed to drive teenager a Ferrari - they can get in over their heads real fast.

your'e right elton!..at the numbers vitually "new" 75's are going for,i would be virtually giving mine away!..no!..i think i'll just keep it,learn all i can about it,and be content with that!

I got a great deal on a slightly used F75 about 2 months ago....... paid $725.00 was was proud of the deal I got. I'm still proud of the deal I got...... but, if I'd known about the LTD coming out so soon..... I'd have waited and picked up one of these bargains! Oh, well...... if a frog had wings...... :rage:

man am i happy, me thinks i got a good deal, i paid 400 for mine euros that is, about $590, 4 months old, got the original invoice with it too(just in case), carry holdal and new batteries. Its paid for itself more than twice in clad already on the beach( 98euros, $144 just in the last 3 days) Soon have enough for a LTD:clapping: Still prefer the etrac or excali for the gold though(maybe i shouldn't have said that :ban:)
