Been working old motel property. found the merc and rosie on friday. Today only a 1947 weat and a clad dime. The wheat was down about 10+ inches. ran in 4T mode difficult ground seems to work here. Just ordered a nel tornado for it. hope it gets me little more depth:detecting:

Nice going on the silvers! :clapping:

The NEL Tornado being a sensitive coil likes manual sensitivity and also be sure to noise cancel at the site. Its also a great silver sniffer.

I found both the slivers at about 3-5 inches both near old trees on the property. Very difficult ground with a lot of bits of little iron everywhere. Will the Nel cut thru this better than the stock coil?

Maybe, maybe not. The Tornado is a larger more sensitive coil i use primarily for extremely deep targets in moderately infested iron junk areas.
With coins that shallow and in an extremely infested iron junk area you might be better off with a small coil.

Having said that, the Tornado has good nearby target separation for a larger coil. Found many keepers next to iron junk but only when i had a lot of experience with it.
