Has anyone typed in ther fav detector into the alibaba search?They seem to have every major brand detector..example:..CTX 3030,s for 700 bucks?? If they dont use the actual name of the detector ,they come up with ther own little twist and add a few letters.Has anyone actually purchased anything thru these sites?Are they stealing the specs and cloning or are they stealing the actual product then re-selling them?Some were claiming they came with factory warranties.The prices were so low its hard to belive they would be legit.But that doesnt mean they arent sometimes. Anyone have any experence ordering or know someone who has i would love to hear about it.THX

Just out of interest, I went on the Alibaba search engine and searched M.L. Safari which listed a new detector for $600-$700. I also saw they list all the other popular machines, CTX 3030's, Sovereigns etc; and they were in the same $ range. If it sounds too good to be true, it is usually not true.
There are 2 types of people in this world, those who earn their money through an honest living. Then there are the other 'people' that are continually devising all kinds of methods and tricks to take it away from the honest folk!!! LTBB...........Let The Buyer Beware!

When I searched for the web site here is what I got.

"Search Largest China Supplier Base.Contact Directly & Get Live Quotes!"

That should be all the answer that anyone needs. Yes they are selling clones of metal detectors and anything else that they can mass produce cheaply. Unfortunately they get by with shipping their junk to the United States.

If you want a clone or fake...that is what you'll get at Alibaba. Plus your dollars go to fund the Chinese government. Bad enough as too much of American dollars do already! :veryangry:

I found this video on youtube https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BaKjmAcepK0 .Looks like there are alot of rip offs out there using the actual bodies of brand name detectors ,but counterfit componets inside.I did come across a few brands with ther own names,like Farmet.That actually seemed to do what they claimed.and it didnt appear to be counterfits.I personally wouldnt buy a counterfit because i hate thiefs with a passion.I would try something new tho made by any company not stealing designs like some companies in china are notorious for.Ive used minelab for the last 5 years..Just bought a nokta fors cor im extremly happy with.Id never even heard of the company until a few months ago.People tried warning me away from trying a small company product people knew little about.Im glad i didnt listen becuase its one heck of a detector.I hope all of the dealers on aliba arent thiefs..That would be a shame,i saw a few units worth trying in the future.
