Air testing the 1350 on a quarter, dime, nickel what's the reading depth ?

Using the standard coil that comes with it..
Anyone ever compared it to a White's Prizm?
Now this would be used in New York soil....
Don't know if the Ace 250 would meet my needs.

Predicting depth for someone else's conditions is like spitting into the wind. In an air test a 1350 will pick up a quarter at ten inches plus, a half slightly higher, and the rest a bit under that. But remember, some coils will detect deeper than they air test and some less.

No modes. Just notching..
and only 2 coils that you can get for it. 8" and 9.5".
Great on the ocean beach, but it seems not to have the extra punch.
Thinking about a second machine for the spring, but want a machine with more optional coils....
Thought about the Ace 250 but it still looks like a kids toy...

Well if you think it's a toy then you've still got a whole lot to learn about detectors. It's a toy like a Lexus is a go-kart.

Compare ACE in 2005 with Prizm in 2004
Both detectors work.
Just that I think the Ace is a lot better.
Just my personal opinion. (34 years at this)

And that's with the stock 9.5" coil, and the Prizm V isn't even a year old.
That's why I was looking into the 1350. I'm not saying the 250 is bad just I thought the 1350 with being higher end would be a better machine. Now I see they have the Ace 250 Pro package with the additional coil...
