nickel today and it read a solid 6. I could not beleive it was that low . Just thought i would share the id number.

I checked a 3 cent silver and a silver half dime today, both on my 3khz coil...........both came in at 32, at about 5-6 inches away. I tried several half dimes, all registered the same. I was surprised the 3 cent silver came in so high because mine is fairly thin and worn

I've been lucky to have found both the nickel 3-cent piece and the 3-cent silver. Both were found with my X-70, using the 6-inch DD at 18.75 kHz, within a few weeks of each other. The 3-cent nickel read a 6 and the silver 3-cent piece read a 24. JMHO HH Randy
