air test f75ltd2

I did a quick indoor air test with a nickle ..13" ultimate coil. Settings. Bp,sens 99, 0 disc,2 tone.. Was getting clear tone at 18". Then in all metal with bp was hearing clearly at 22". So im more than satisfied with these results..

I bought new in November but sent it back for the 12/14 replacement... So brand new...and my new ultimate coil came today...great depth on that coil..

Your numbers are great, but I can't understand the w i d e discreptancy in the machines that are updated. I still have a couple weeks to decide.Good luck.

Seems to be the circuit boards in some of the machines that are causing these air-test issues. If you send it in for upgrades include a note inside box to check this am mode air-test issue before they send it back to you. Wish I had, I'm on the 3rd time back to them.

I cant be arsed with the trouble and $130 (again) to post mine back to US from uk again....Really dissapointed in fisher and the way they seem to differ so much..Feel like ive got a inadequate machine as i used all metal exclusively prior to upgrade..I also have a 6.5 green T2 that I was gonna send in for upgrade but it way outperforms the f75 now in all metal which cant be right in anyones book.

Man! it sounds like you have the results that everyone is hoping for from this upgrade. However, it seems you're the only one posting these exceptional numbers. Now with all the fluctuating results, should yours be considered the "norm", or just a lucky fluke? Should everyone expect equal performance out of their upgrade and if it doesn't measure up, keep sending it back until it does?

I'm excited for you, those are great numbers. I just wish it was across the board so it would make my decision to send mine in for the upgrade easier.

im getting great numbers as well on my 12-14 replacement..i purchased a new 11-14 unit and besides the mama pinpoint depth was great in disc and am..my new unit is the same 16" on a nickle in am with stock coil.maybe 17-18 with headphones on..im very happy with that..disc is great as well..i guess you have to get lucky!!

I'm going to get REAL LUCKY---I'm going to spend 650.00 and never look back.

What are you thinking about doing, buying a different machine?

Life is short and I don't want to spend a great portion of it with Brown.

Seems to be a sensible move as you seem to have a chronic burr under your saddle wih regards to Fisher. At least the F-75.

Move on and lets hope bt avoiding Brown you don't also miss out on Gold and Silver.

Charlie:
1.I have a 6 mo. old F75 with the 11,5,6.5,and nel sharpshooter coils.
2.My machine is very hot in AM and when the upgrade was announced I had my return ticket as soon as they were availiable
3.I decided to wait until a few guys had their machines to see how the upgrades were going
4.Currently there are several people who are on their THIRD return(hence the Brown comment)
5.You are satisfied with having your machine refurbished and upgraded and This is wonderful, but there are a number of people who are not happy
6.I hunt mainly in AM and the indecision as to whether to send in my hot AM machine and have it degraded,as a number of people reported,is unsettling, hence your preceived"chronic burr under my saddle for Fisher". I suppose my 38 years in corporate America has led me to expect better quality control in a big outfit like First Texas.

Amen to the last part of number 6.

I see that it is a very warranted saddle burr. I'd be pretty miffed myself if what I got back was worse than what I had sent . . . repeatedly. It is unfortunate that there seems to be such a "lets try this" approach by Fisher.

On the other hand, I sent back a seven year old detector and they seem to have done it up much better to bring it up to 2014/15 software and performance. I waited myself to see how the reviews on the upgrade were going (on this and other forums).

I have a slightly older Minelab and my choice to upgrade that is to buy a new Minelab. I appreciate Fisher offered us this option at all.

I've been plodding through "corporate America" since I was married 35 years ago. Since then I've been with some good ones & some bad ones.
