Ain't Pretty....First 24k ring

It sure ain't pretty, but I broke through my 18k ceiling this morning with this 6.1g 24k ring. Using the 705/HF DD Elliptical coil I got a 10/14 broken scratchy signal that was maybe 3 or 4 inches down in the hard beach sand. It looked a lot like brass to me when I first saw it with its dull finish ( It did buff up to a nice gold finish), but in my hand I could feel the weight and although I could not read it, I could make out a hallmark. It's not joined/soldered together, very soft/pliable and pretty beat up. I got a magnifying glass out of my pouch and was grinning ear to ear when I saw the 9999 stamp. It has, from what I can tell, been buried in the sand for some time since I found it in a spot that gets no beach rake cleaning. GL ALL

Typical of middle east gold rings. Dint know why they dont soldier together. Lots of chains have an s hook type clasp. The good thing aboutbthat style... Is they are lost easier ;-)

Congrats on the 24k... so bizarre that they make such a high purity ring in such a cheesey fit-all style... great find for sure ...

Thanks for the explanation on it mcb613............sure makes resizing easy
Cheesey is right Bhpa, not a ring worth keeping, but worth recasting as a first to remember....going to see if my jeweler has a nautical/fish mold pendent I like.
Thanks ALL

I think it is quite purty. Its Yellow and Its Gold. Makes it beautiful in my Book.
