homebre

I found this ax head in a field this weekend. Anyone know its approx. age and if it would be a good candidate for electrolysis?
Thx,
Andy from Hillsborough

well andy I have found many like it . its hand made for sure, could go back to the 1850, to 1900 but it shows someone was cutting wood and lost it neeet find , how deep was it ?

you could do some clean u p on it its a nest relic.

I bet it is older than me. I am an old fort.... KEN

Axe heads are a passion of mine. That one however, I believe is early 1900's 1910, maybe.
The style of it is what makes it not so collectible--------- but the same thing goes for the thousands of big box record/am radio players that have been thrown out over the years. Now they are getting to be worth something. Neat find nonetheless.

Neat find..:clapping:.back when Men cut trees with an Axe...sure has seen a file a time or two... judging on the roundness of the blade. I get tired just looking at it!

Thank you. I am going to try to use electrolysis on it.
