Afternoon hunt 10-25-09

Got out of 3 hours this afternoon before the rain chased me back in. Went to a small town close by, to the baseball field. Hunted there for an hour, only found 1 clad dime & 1 clad penny, so I moved to the town park. I'd hunted it several years back with a silent search detector, had no idea just how trashy it was until getting on it with the etrac. I like the threshold nulling so you can tell how much trash there is. The park is in the downtown area, and theres lots of charred wood when you dig, so I'd say a building was either torn down and burnt or just burned up on the lot, there's tons of nails. Only old coin I recovered was a 1956 wheatie. I got 4 dollar coins, very unual, and a half dollar. I was using the sef 10x12, should have taken a smaller coil with me. HH ken-ks
