Aftermarket headphone compatibility......

MY Killer B's work well, but seems there are some questions about certain headphones working on both the F75 & T2......here's some technical info from Fisher.....
>>>>>>>
On the Fisher F75 and the Teknetics T2, tip and ring are shorted together and the return is through the sleeve which is wired in series with a 274 ohm resistor. The pulses applied to T&R are negative with respect to the sleeve. Maximum voltage is 6 volts. Loudness is pulse width modulated but the volume control varies the voltage.>>>>>>>

But what ohm headphones should work best on the F75 ?
I had a hard time hearing the F75 with a set of 150 ohm Timberwolfs that usually blow my ears off on most everything else I've tried them on.
I installed 35 ohm Koss speakers into the Timberwolf cabinets and got way better volume and sound quality but still feel it could be BETTER :)
Thanks
Mike

As the limiting resistor is 274 ohms you should look for headphones with an impedance around that range or higher. Amongst headphones of a similar impedance rating, look for the highest sensitivty rating, usually a figure of dB(higher is better), for every Watt or Milliwatt of power applied to the headphones.

And secondly everyone's hearing response and ear canals are different, so you may be more or less happy than someone else using the same headphones on the same machine.

Honestly that technical blurb was a little over my head:) I was just passing that along via First Texas engineering after the questions began to surface about all headphones working well....
All's I know is that I like a loud headphone to be able to hear deep wispers that the F75 has. The KIller B's & Sunrays have been fine but I have yet to try anything else....

I'm actually gonna invest in some of those "high performance" type headphones! I've been tempted, but keep holding out (tight wad). I've been through 3 sets of the el cheapos this year! I have an old pair of the burgundy colored Whites phones (with an incredibly long cord) that are still surviving....
