After work hunt!

Jeff in Pa

Well-known member
Managed 1-1/2 HRS after work tonite. I decided to hunt a small park I have been at before. I don't think its very old and its full of rocks just under the grass but its one I go by on my way home so why not?

Got a couple of easy ones only a couple of inches under the grass.

BTW, I clean most coins with a stiff toothbrush and Dawn dish detergent.

Nice hunt Jeff.

That Andrew Jackson coin is pretty cool.

I am a fan of "Dawn" dish soap for a quick wash too.

Yeah and the funny thing was I am running Ferrous and they were only 3" apart so I am hearing two coins that are singing like quarters. I always dig the clad quarters so that is the only reason I bent down to dig these because they were only under the sod a little. I pass up the memorials and zincolns but will dig a wheat a dime or a quarter. What I stink at is chasing nickel/ring signals and for some reason I keep on chasing them even though the sound does "Waver" just a bit. Guess its that thought in the back of my mind just hoping for gold. At $1700 an OZ. though it would be nice:chase:

Nice GW and $ coin...................I use Dawn soap as well, cleans things pretty good............................................John

An hour and a half...you weren't kidding about a short hunt just like I had, Jeff. Nice job on your finds.:beers:
