after work hunt

Got out for a while after work.Tried my new nickel mode its sweet .1903, 1895 v nickel no date buff 8 Jefferson's 2 Indians couple wheat and clad and 25 beaver tails. There seems to be a lot more nickels than other coins where i hunt. I have found 6 v nickels so far with the ctx changing the tone in the nickel range has done the trick 10 to 15 1000hz just like for my silver and copper.

Its always been said if you find nickles your in the gold range. I have found this to be true. Now with newer machines discriminating has become so much better it may not hold true these days. I was hunting about 2 years ago a came opon this mess of holes on the beach and the guy doing it. Was easily 100 holes and trash spread over a 300 ft area. He was using a land detector and was digging everything. I ask the guy to a the least step on the edge and cave the hole in so no one would get hurt running at night. This about 6pm and dark was about 1 hrs. Tide was going low.We had some words so I pulled the camera out he took off! I FILLED all his holes and hunted the area he had just hunted I found 23 nickles and some silver coins misssed I think it was this time too I found a gold pendant and gold ring. The nickles told me had his discrimination set to reject pull tabs/beaver tails. Its always a welcome site to start and find nickles. Heres the video.
