After Warranty expires...

Do many MXT's ever go back to have repairs, its seems to be a short term warranty compared to Fishers and Tesoros.

Mine never has but from all reports it doesn't seem to matter. Apparently they'll go out of their way to take care of you at minimal to no cost, even if you bought it used.

Amen to that Scott. I've had my MXT for 9 years now and it has been in the shop one time only for a check-up. I did have a loose earphone plug thingy (my terminology), and it was fixed, all systems100% checked out great and ready for another season. This was just two winters ago and all for a very small minimal fee along with FAST turnaround time. Can't beat their service and friendliness. I've seldom heard of any MXT going bad. It's a well made machine.

Whites service is second to none that's for sure!

You can always buy with confidence that the company will stand behind their product!

Five Stars *****

I've had mine around 8 years and I put it through HELL and never been to the shop for problems. I did send it in once for a check up that came back OK!!

I would hate to estimate how many hours I have on my machine. It looks a little rough around the edges, but still works like a charm. Maybe I could trade it in for a new one. There would be many days that Larry and I would spend almost all day detecting. I would pack a picnic lunch and we would go "cladding" and would bring home over $50 on many days. Boy, those were the days!!! We would come home with our bags full and our piggies tired, but what a fun filled day. Then we would use that money for "FUN" vacations with all expenses paid. What a blast! HH, Nancy

I'm in Australia and there great service stretchers all the way over here!! the best by far! Ive never had any issues with my MXT it is only two years young but I did have a couple for coils which played up that where out of warranty and Whites replaced them anyway no questions :clapping::wiggle::thumbup:

cheers Ron

Wow! .... over $50 a day in clad. That is some real serious digging!

I can just imagine what the pull tab count would be!

At least you had a great time.

I bought mine in 2004 and have put two toggle switches (pinpoint switch) in it but the first one that I put in was defective and didn't last very long and the second one I put in is still working, I got the switches from my supplier and they were both given to me. It's hard to beat Whites quality and workmanship, they are second to none.

Honestly we didn't get too many pull-tabs. We were known as the King and Queen of Clad by our local metal detecting club. :twodetecting: Oh, we had a great time breaking our own records. The most we've gotten in one year was almost $1400. Believe me, that's a LOT of detecting. Each of us would average $5 per hour. We can't do that anymore, we've slowed down and now enjoying the hunt of older coins. There's nothing wrong with cladding. Nothing at all. HH to all, Nancy

So ....am I correct in saying that you are more selective in your site selection.

Instead of parks etc ..... searching old homes and such?

What is your best jewelry find? Did the MXT do well for you in with jewelry?

$ 5.00/ hour Nancy ? That's a lot ! I can't even keep up that rate shaking change out of my piggie bank.

We use to hunt parks, schools, any place where there were a lot of people traffic. Wherever we could. Now we like to hunt older out of the way parks and private property.

Let's see...........my best jewelry find was a man's 14K with 5 beautiful good sized diamonds which I gave to my father for it was a perfect fit. Priceless!

As with the MXT and jewelry, I've found my share.

HH to all, Nancy

Scott, Believe me, looking back at what we did.................makes me tired thinking about it. :surrender: HH, Nancy
