Well, folks sure drop a LOT of quarters and dimes at the local Field Days each year, and I try to be the first and hopefully only one on the field after they tear down.
Got up bright and early at 4am, and was out the door by 5am. I hit the field at 5:30, and it was still a tad dark out...used my 5 way LED headlamp for about 30 minutes until the sun came up...
The Electric guys were taking down the final temporary wiring they install each year, and they were all looking at me with that..."Well, someone has a bright idea!" kinda look...lol...
Was only able to hunt for 3 hours before the rains came down. I got packed up before the rain, but got pretty wet by the time I got home...Luck my duffle bag is waterproofed.
Take for the morning was $3.88 with one toasty wheat cent, and another attempt by those crazy Canuks to plant maple trees..."Your Doing It Wrong!"
I did not get to cover all the field...Will go back later...
