After Storm Gold and Silver:detecting:

Well I have to say that the anticapation of detecting after this storm was big. Looking at the fourm I'm happy to report the first gold and silver ring. The beach I went to lost at least 3' of sand off the top layer and it seemed to all deposit right in the water:rage:

I stayed out of the water and hunted the beach. Think I'm going to give it a few days. Pulled the silver ring (for what ever reason this one is not cleaning) some clad and then Pay dirt(N)for nitro.

Cant wait to see what everyone else gets!!!!!!!!!!

Mine says sterling in it too. Kinda getto, I wouldn't wear it! Will make an excellent contribution to my .999 fine bar of silver I intend to have from Midwest soon. What's up with the gold 1 though? You say nitro, but gold in the post. No mark in that unit? GH

Nitro, as a general rule, is CZ or rhinestones, as opposed to diamonds. Nitro could also be defined as gold plated as opposed to 10K, 14K, etc. Savvy?
Got a gold stamp in that fine unit??

jcham, there is no karat stamp in the gold ring? Sure does look good. Don't worry about the lingo, you'll pick it up soon enough.
