Went to the beach for about an hour. It was pretty well sanded in and I thought I was wasting my time. But, it was nice out so I figured I'd take a little walk. About 2 min into my hunt I hit a corroded zinc and then about 3 more. I then hit a green dime and a quarter. I was kinda hoping this was a good sign... All of the targets were in a perfect straight line along the wet packed sand so I concentrated on that line. Not too much longer after that, I got a good mid tone but it was a piece of a hair clip. 5 minutes later I got another good mid tone that I just knew was gold.
