After a long dry spell my DeLeon found ring #20 for the year. This afternoon when I got out of work I hit the soccer fields for a short hour and a half. The fall soccer season is in full swing and every soccer field in town is bustling with action. It started out slow digging pennies and clad since I did not have much time I was moving fairly quick along the sidelines. The fields I was at has at least 25 soccer fields some for little kids up Jr high kids. After an hour or so at the little kids fields I moved to the fields of the larger kids I have hunted these fields for the past few years with some luck 1 gold nugget ring last year and 1 gold band this year. I was working the sidelines again hit some more clad on the side of one field and since the fields are close together I worked the side of another set of fields about midway up I got a real strong tab signal that did not waver high or low unlike most tabs that jump all over the place on the D I drove my probe in a tight circle and hid something solid opened a slit in the grass and saw gold! When I pulled the ring from the ground I was floored I have never seen a ring so big it is a size 13 1/2 gold ring with 9 baguette diamonds. This is by far the largest and the most expensive ring I have found. you can bet I will be back at the soccer fields in the weeks to come. Thanks for reading I am hoping to post some pics of this years finds soon until then, Keep looking down!

WTG,

Man that sounds like a honker.

I am hoping for some likethat.

Happy Hunting,

Tabdog

I was just wondering- do you just dig the strong tab signals or all of them? Do you know your approximate tab/ring ratio? Thanks.

My tab ratio I'm sure is diffrent than many others I do dig tabs don't get me wrong but I try to watch how they read on the D before I dig them after using this machine for the last 4 yrs I have gotten pretty good at reading a tab. I do however dig any that react out of the norm or to high or to low with little or no variance
in some locations I will dig more tabs than in others just because the chances of finding jewlery are higher.

Congrats on that sweet sounding ring! I know you were glad to see it comme outta the hole! Good hunting, Beale.
