After a disappointing summer, got some good news

I was a little dissappointed with my gold finds last summer, for the amount of time I put in, but I got some good news today, to help out.
I finally remembered to bring the man's ring with me to Sam's and have the jewler, put the lazer on it.
Turned out good and he felt it was about a $1000 ring retail. I really didn't think the stones were gonna be real.
I tried to find the original post, but couldn't find it.
Anyway, I might take some time to hit the beach, if this storm pans out, but been bow hunting hard. I shot a small buck, and it's good to have some venison in the freezer. Now, I'm looking for a good one, but deer hunting is a lot like gold hunting, always when ya least expect it, there it is.
Have a safe and happy T Day.

Hey Dawgg...Happy Thanksgiving. Haven't seen you out there...I guess deer hunting has taken up most of your time.

I been down there and to Seaside a few times....tons of sand but I hope this last storm starts to churn things up. My buddy Matt is down the beach today and hopefully he has some good news since the last 2 times down we have been skunked in terms of jewelry ( and hardly any coins as well).

Gald to see that ring had the real thing on it. Where did you find that one ?

Probably dead center of that.
I haven't been gold hunting, since early Oct., but getting the bug. This bow hunting is a lot of fun also, and I have good spots, real close to home.
I'll be keeping my eye on what the surf is doing and might cya's down there.

I'm no jeweler, but 1/2 carat solitaire retails for $1300 at Sears.
Looks like 1/2 carat in the center, four 1/4 carat, and many more.
I'd guess its worth at least $3000 and perhaps $10,000.

A few folks have said the same thing. I really don't plan on selling it, but curiousity has set in.

NICE !

I just talked to Matt...he was at Ortley and then Belmar. He said there was not much, and it looked like the storm sanded the beach so I guess we gotta wait for those nice winter storms to strip some of that sand away. He did get a 1948 Quarter, but no jewelry.

Hope to see you down there soon.
