After 158 years....still incredible detail

Scenario84

This flying eagle is as good if not better than my previous one found last October. I'm really excited about this find. It's such a beautiful coin design.

That sure is in good shape. Just think what that could have bought back than. Someone was mad when they lost that... KEN

Does have great detail, even with the corrosion! I found one a couple weeks ago and cant get the exact date. I rubbed mine with a graphite pencil and it made it look pretty good.

Nice! It's gotta either be a '57 or a '58. I'd guess 58 because they minted a lot more so odds are that's what it is. And if by chance it says '56....well then it's worth A LOT.

WOW..not many found like that for sure.

Awesome! Your soil must be very neutral! That coin looks very nice for a dug f.e. I recently found a 1858 too but it is pretty worn so I am thinking it was probably lost more around later in the 1870s or so.

Scenario84, that has to be the nicest dug Flying Eagle Cent that I've ever seen. Congratulations! Best of luck and...

Happy Hunting!
