Alright, I love my detector. I am heading to my parent's house for a week. They live in North Carolina on the beach. Of course I am bringing the detector. I have two questions. I have the DD coil which is the high frequency I think. Here are the numbers. ( H06874 ) I think the H means High Freq. I am new at this. Please let me know how to set up the detector. I could not be more happy with the xterra, I have just found that I need some help with it. I appreciate any help I can get.
The last question is, I will be detecting on land that is near the intercoastal waterway. What kind of set up do I need for that. Not a trashy area. Most of the ground in Carolina near the water is sand. Not sure how to set it up. I really appreciate all the help. Like I said, I am new to all of this, and really appreciate the help and advise.

Cheers
Kevin

Kevin its real simple, put it in track and beach mode, start with sens around 15 and make sure to noise cancel. I like either all metal or coin mode 1, just ignoring the smaller iron. adjust your sens as needed, it will chatter if you have it to high and when you sweep on the wet sand try to not let the coil rub against the ground.
That DD hi freq coils a very good one, either eliptical or round they both are good one.
