I have the Xl PRO 6000 and I find it to be a real fun accurate detector. I love the meter and it has found me a lot of gold rings. I use the hot shot coil on large areas and this coil though it is 12 inches acts like a much smaller coil. And that is a great thing it is really tight and does a great job in trash for a big coil. I also use the eliminator a small thick coil that is deep and great in heavy trash and clean ground.

I have done years of turf hunting and it is one of my great loves in life. Now I have gotten into relic hunting and have been very lucky at finding some great finds. I Got the new T2 and it is a great detector in iron it reads right through it and finds good targets. I use this T2 for relic hunting.

SO now my question on relic hunting, iron and the XL 6000? It seems when I hit iron the needle plunges to the hard left I have not really tried a test with the T2 and the whites because on the T2 you run a one plus tone and low disc.

The iron is always sounding off as a low buzzy tone and the good targets will give a higher clear tone. On the T2 this machine is so fast that you can hit iron a good target and iron over and over and count the good targets.

Like a machine gun going off. How do you guys relic hunt in heavy iron with the white's? How many use the DD coil also.

I hope you don't mind me asking you these questions I would never part with my XL 6000 and I have owned a lot of Whites but love this machine the most. I wish Whites would reward us with a New DFX machine but come up with something that is the next step if that is possible. The T2 is a great machine and is so easy to set up. It is designed by the same guy that designed the MXT and it feels to me Dave took the MXT and had the funding to take it to the next level with the T2
