Sorry for the post, I know we don't need another x vs y machine thread, but I need to hear from those who are more experienced.
short story: I sold a MXT-300 a couple years ago, and I regret it. I want to get back in the hobby, but I need honest opinions.
My budget is c.a $700, But I'd rather pay less than this.

I have narrowed my choices to:
1. MXT Pro
2. Garrett AT-Pro
3. Minelab Safari
4. Minelab X-Terra 705
5. Minelab Explorer II
6. Minelab Explorer SE

I realize the explorer se is out of my budget....this considering I could find a good deal on it. Depth is important, but also the ability to detect gold well. I don't like the fact that the Minelab machines need to be used at a slower speed than the MXT. I also would love a depth comparison of the AT-Pro vs the MXT. I will mainly be searching fields and old homesteads with the occasional trip to the beach. I do remember that the MXT was pretty awful on the beach. Sensitivity to silver is also important.

Any advice anyone can provide would be helpful.
