Advice on ATpro

Sorry dont post much just come here to read...Due to work, obligations and lack of time I have not been able to get out but once in the past year.My problem is I was one of the lucky ones to get the ATpro upon release with the preorder when they first came out and have a very early s/n on my unit...Now work has slowed and Im ready to give it my all but am worried I have a defective unit and will have trouble with leakage and falsing...My question is should I send it in and get it checked before going out or just wait to see if it messes up?

Not all units had problems. I would get out there and put it to work. If it fails, then send it in. Good Luck...HH

Well, you don't lose anything by going out, so why not? Many of the early units were fine, while a few had problems. If you notice "falsing" when going over twigs or at the ends of your swings or when you shake it in the air, then you may want to send it in for a check up. Garrett offered a $39 upgrade through last December. That included bench testing the control unit and coil and pressure testing for leaks and also included the new cam locks on the lower shafts and a longer bar for your arm, as well as an extended warranty. You might call customer service and see what they have to say.
Enjoy & HH!
