Advice needed

My wife wants to get me something for Xmas, but I always have trouble needing more stuff. However, I thought about getting a 5.75" coil for my "V." I do not hunt in high trash areas usually as they don't generally exist around here because the population isn't dense enough. I hunt schools, parks, churches, fields, and woods, and if I am lucky find a few old sites. Should I get a small coil, or should I wait and see what the next Tesoro machine will be?
Thx,
Andy from Hillsborough

I had a V for about 2 years. About 6 months in I purchased a 5.75 concentric and never took it off. As for advantages, it is nice in the woods getting around trees. It is also lighter. Just my thoughts.

I have one for my Vaq and the depth seems just as good as on my other coils.
I do hunt some very trashy sites, however, so if you don't I am not sure what kind of an advantage this addition would be.
If you don't have a 10X12" DD coil you might want to consider that one, instead.
I have one of those and even though I don't use it much in large wide open areas it is deep and sure can cover the ground and gives you the feeling that you are not missing much.
I found a 14k wedding band literally running around a wide open field swinging way too fast once using this coil.
Paid for the coil with just this one find.

I like small coils but about the only help they are is if you get into some trash and need a little better target separation. Sounds to me that you are more in need of a bigger coil, good ground coverage and maybe a little deeper.

I wonder if tesoro is going to put out a tone machine like the golden with VDI numbers because why els stop making the golden ? in your case coverage is probably better 10x12 DD

Also pinpointing will be dead on all the time...... No more off center plugs. Good luck
