ADVICE NEEDED ON BANANA RECIPES and a good all around detector

John 'n' W.Va

:cool:I was at an older friend's house today to play with his MXT. I have been looking to get another detector. I read on how to adjust it and get the most from it. So he sat on the porch while I played a little. I have some raw gold. It picked up 2 flakes of gold at 6 inch. in gb at 50. It seemed to do well at detecting a penny I buried at 10 inches. There was no VDI on it that deep, just audio. I wished it had more audio tones. I know it wasn't scientific just playing around. He is the only guy I know that Liv's near by with a MD I can play with. It is hard to find a dealer to let me take out a MD to play with. I really haven't ask though. My local dealer is Kellyco and they are very busy. I like to coin shoot, but if there is a cw site near by I would do that. When I am at my sister's house, I prospect and of course the beach thing. I JUST LOVE MDING. Who wants to set in the house and watch TV. Any advice on a good detector would be appreciated. All the pro's and con's.
I had a good time on his back porch watching the sun set over the lake. He let me take the machete and hack off a couple bunches of bananas. That is a lot of banana's. But Buba says,"You can eat them fried". You can eat them boiled. You eat them baked ********. We had some guest that can be very inquisitive and bold.

Good times with a good friend John.

Slice the banana about 1/4 thick and fry them in oil. Eat them like potatoes. Or let them ripen and make a LOT of b-bread.

Detectors? After your ACE, you wont be satisfied without some sort of ID features. If cost is no object, the MXT is well reputed. Of course there is the Garrett 2500. With the desire to hunt relics comes a need for a more wide open unit. Either of these would do nicely and would also be good GP units.

The MXT has a learning curve, not so much with the 2500, especially with your Garrett "background."

Dont forget the 1350, either. It is a great step up unit and by many accounts, is as deep as youll need. It also has the ability to use any of the Garrett coils. That's my vote - the 1350. I am still awed by it.

That is the 3 main ways I eat them.
I thought the learning curve was the other way around. Big price difference. Thanks Bro.

But for your metal detecting interests, I suggest the GTP 1350, GTI 1500 or the GTI 2500. Don't get too cocerned about a detector sounding off on flakes of gold. If its natural gold you want to search for, buy a gold hunting metal detector. However, for general coin hunting, the above Garretts should serve you well. below is a link to the Garrett site.
