Advice needed.........Cozumel

Hi, LFG here. I will be traveling to Cozumel this coming weekend. the resort I'm staying at has a huge beach and it is also located next to a Beach Club as well. I'll be there a week. the sand there is loose and kinda deep and it has alot of traffic...... I will be taking my new Sand Shark (I only hunt Salt about twice a year).

The sand there is shell based, just wondering what setting's I might use there and also any other tip's would be appreciated, Thank You, LFG.

Also, should I pay attention to the Tides there?

Can't answer your questions BUT- my brother told me about the saltwater crocs there. We were both surprised. Seems that many folks have "disappeared" there.
There is one T dock that goes out a long distance into shallow water near a resort. He saw-first hand- a croc come up on the dock when people were at the end taking pics--effectively blocking their return. Staff had to clear them off so the folks could make it back.

Just a heads up.

Thanks, I actually seen a Croc in Mexico, it was in Cancun. A guy at a lagoon side bar was feeding it chicken legs. But I'll be in Cozumel and Ill pretty much be resort hunting along the beaches there.I have yet seen a Croc in open water in my many trips there....maybe I'll see one when I go diving.. ;)

Never made it to Cozumel. My brother was working w a travel agency at the time of his visit. Gave him an inside with one of the agents there.
he loves the water and nature- but would not go near that dock or in the water in that area. he considered it a predator ambush spot. He's a Fla guy. Was a look out when I would search the bottom of back wood streams there looking for fossils or Caloosa artifacts. Size of the Crocs he saw-in the water and on the dock were large enough to kill.

If I talk to him I'll see if he remembers the name.

On my bucket list. proposed in Tulum. Enjoyed Xel ha and the coast S of Cancun.
Sounds like you know what you're doing- just felt compelled to mention it.
