Advice for Easton's beach RI

Hello all, I am going to be in Warwick RI in March and i have the chance to hunt Easton's beach and second beach. I can only bring one detector with me so between my E-trac and my Whites DF PI what would you recommend? Probably not going to get in the water as i wont have all my gear with me so i am leaning to the E-trac. Any advice you guys and gals can give for those two areas would be great! Thanks

I would bring the E-trac I've hunted all those beaches up their use to live in warwick. HH

Hey Jay,I hunt these beaches all the time. They are not all that big and do see a lot of detecting pressure, especially over the past few years.
It is my belief that a pi machine will give you more of an advantage over us vlf machine users, because of more depth.
Although there is a considerable amount of iron on Easton's Beach if you are persistent there is some good stuff there. Since you're going to be in the neighborhood, don't overlook third beach also,I always seem to find older stuff there.
Easton's and Second beach are south facing beaches, and don't seem to see a lot of erosion as they are somewhat protected by cliffs on either side. However if we get a good nor'easter Third beach seems to get more sand movement. Hope this helps.
Hit me up when you're in the area if you're looking for someone to hunt with.

Thanks for the advice , i wish i could bring both but i am flying up there and just wont have the room for both and a sand scoop. I will hit you up as it gets closer to time .
