Boy! Is life tuagh sometimes ! We just go electric power back! A violent ice storm blew up power friday afternoon and it took all that time to get the power back. The worst is that the problem was minimal, but spreadded all over the Montreal are so each and everey little problam had to be fixed one by one.
Glad we have a fireplace ! We could maintain a 63 degrees inside the house, providing i woke up every hour and a half to put some logs in. Good thing outside temperature was barely under 32 degrees. If that shortage would occur in the middle of winter... humm. We have a good supply of candles, a camping oven and a battery operated TV... so live was... bearable.
Since I was tired of local black and white TV yesterday afternoon, I decided to go for a little hunt in a lake. Had to find a rather large one since the small ones are already frozen. Fortunatly we had a record hot day thursday so that delayed freezing for a while.
Well, targets were really scarce. We already visited those place several time. I went alone since i couldn't reach Luke. Fortunatly, yesterday was a really nice sunny day, so i wasn't cold in the water. Hunted several spots, only to find a few coins. Was about to give up when i got a very faint signal and out popped that miniature 0.8 grams 10K ring. Almost a joke of a gold ring, but hey, i scored gold and that is all that mathers ! So here is gold number 83 for the season. Along on the picture, there is the other very small gold ring i got last week. Very small too, but rather old i bet.
Since power wasn'tback this morning, i had to decline Luke's invitation for a morning hunt... had to take care of the fire and house. Hope Luke get some nice results !
Next week ? Well it's a bit early to say, but i guess there should be the ruinning water option... some river of some sort ? we'll see !
