Advantage question

Hi. I have a Minelab advantage and it works fine other than it only beeps with headphones, I'm not that familiar with this model. Does anyone know what might cause this? Thanks, Jeff

Try to plug the headphones in and out the socket several times with the socket turned towards the ground so that if any dirt is present it will fall out and this will also help to reform the internal spring tip connections that make contact to the male cord end. You can also try compressed air into the socket, won't hurt anything and if it's dirt related it may cure the problem.
Other than that it might be a loose or bad connection going to the socket inside.
The control box comes apart pretty easy to check the wires to the plug if you feel like looking inside, just be careful and open it SLOWLY to avoid breaking anything.
Good luck with it, if all else fails, send it in to Las Vegas for a fix that I doubt they'll even charge you for... they are great machines and way under rated.
