Advantage of taking more than one.

Went out today for a bit and took 2 detectors, the Minelab EX-II my main unit, and the ACE 250 for the first actual experience. My plan was to give the ACE a bit of dirt duty, then hit the same area with the EX-II. Well I left the battery on the charger at home for the Minelab. So the ACE for today got all the works.
I usually take 2 or 3 machines with me, but today I only had 1 operational. My lesson for today was if I was a good distance from home and had only taken the minelab, I would have been totally skunked as the minelab does not take common batteries on the local market.
At least I got to try new headphones and an electronic pinpointer too.
Anyway I posted my 1st use thoughts & results at the Garrets section.

My EXII will use eight AA in the pack I bought for it. Of course I use rechargeables but I could use regular batteries if I wanted to.
