Advantage Coil

If this is the correct forum, of all the 8 inch coils compatible with the Advantage, would there be a favorite among users for general open area detecting.

Happy Hour,a while back before I was the moderator on this forum Minelab Musketeer people would come here for help.Since this detector doesn't have an official section.I'll try to answer your question and hope to have help from some Musky users here. The Muskys take a Treasure Search coil the BBS and FBS coils will not work on the Musketeers.I have used an Advantage years ago and thought the 8inch (actual 7 1/4") was a great coil good depth and separation and made the detector a lot lighter.Usually used Musketeer coils seem to sale a lot cheaper than the Sovereign or Explorer coils.Good Luck Ron

I currently have a Musky and have the stock 8" and 10" coil for it.
I usually use the 10" coil myself for extra ground coverage, but it does get heavy after a while.
I am very happy with the performance of the 8" coil also, just don't use it quite as much.
