Let’s just say the AT Max got BLISTERED!!! The AT Max ended up getting 2 Minie Balls and a few flat buttons. We probably swung for 7 hours in total but I was very happy to get my first sharps, first lettered eagle button, an early Tombac, and a beautiful local CW token. That 7khz ain’t no joke!! "Advanced AT Max user"?? I didn't know the Max was out long enough for anyone to be advanced.
I thought that same thing.
I understand people have favorite machines and brand loyalty. I get that. But why the constant need to put down machines that other people own and like?
Personally, I find this rude.
But to each their own. I'm free to ignore their posts and videos, and that's what I (usually) do.

I showed the AT MAX in iron on a video worst sounding machine ive ever heard in iron.. almost impossible to use in thick iron with low disc or iron audio on...

1. Got to have a decent site
2. Hunters experience
3. Decent machine
I'm thinking a good, experienced hunter , with a so so machine will out hunt a newbie with the Worlds best. Maybe not every time, but most of the time. Take a lousy site, my money's on the hunter.
Of course nothing in the above is written in stone.
But really I only try to do better than I have before. Can't let your head get wrapped up into what you buddies doing.

HONEST ANSWER TIME!!! Does the AT MAX have a horrible sound with low disc or iron audio on in iron??? look at the first minute of this video and you guys be the judge... I mean if anyone finds that to be a pleasant sound then please forgive me.....[video]https://youtu.be/XKWGFXnskDw[/video]
I have never used either machine but in your video both machines were able to detect the targets among the iron. I've used many machines since starting in 1971 and the sound on the AT Max was pretty much about like I remember all of my machines sounding. The pitch on the Deus was too high unless you were using 3 tones and that tone was your high coin tone. That tone in trashy areas on multiple targets would drive you crazy.
Had an AT Pro but not the Max, it was a great all around machine but it's just not in the Deus' league in this scenario or on any of my old sites. Prodigy said he was using 7khz but I've been killin' all my old sites with the HF round at 28khz using Calabash's relic program, it's a game changer.

There will always be doubters..... lol chuck ky my program is not for modern trash filled sites, its for old sites with moderate to no modern trash as its designed for alerting non ferrous in iron.

It will take time but people will catch on about those higher freqs in iron. Its a new thing that many scoff at but time will prove it true as more people try it. It works!

Your headline states the MAX got BLISTERED, but from your own description your machine only found 2 more CW related items than the MAX. I think these other guys are right, you just hate Garret machines.

That test was showing the speed of the Deus even in iron, alerting on each non ferrous item individually. I wish I had that many hits each swing on my relic sites but obviously it's more spread out. You could lower the pitch but I like it high. Honestly that sound does drive me a little crazy.......................crazy with anticipation to see what's beneath my coil that I somehow missed with my other machines. lol

What machine have you used sound like that in iron if you don't mind me asking?? That MAX is horrible in iron if you run low disc or have iron audio on. The deus tones are my personal settings you can adjust the tones to suit you personal likes or dislike. You cant do that with the max your stuck. If they would put a iron vol on the max it would have helped out a lot and cut that horrible iron tone down.
