addition to my arsenal

I just got in the latest addition to my arsenal! A new V3i and wireless headphones! Here's the baby picture next to her 2 sisters..Etrac and AT Pro.

I messed with it a little and it's pretty darn impressive!

I have passed over the White's machines many times in favor of other brands and different performance levels. My 100% honest thought was... every time I am in the market... 'do I want this old style detector with the box under the arm? yeah, it's American made and an old company, but how good can it be?'

My stereotype was 100% wrong. The V3i is the top White's machine, but the build of it, the HD color screen, the accessories like extra arm foam pieces, a nice charger, batteries with the wireless headphones + 8 AA batteries loaded into the spare battery pack, etc.

I know I am like a kid on Christmas right now, but 2 things... #1 I am NOT brand loyal....I am performance loyal, and #2 I am a skeptic in the fact of 'prove why it's good, I am not assuming it'.

Air testing in my basement was sweet also with some different coins.

I also like how the V3i has some basic turn-on-and-go programs and a 'basics' section of the owner's manual.... plus... SOOO many customizable features on all these drop down menus and icons plus sections of the owner's manual that are even way beyond the 'tweeker' like me, who wants to start off customizing stuff. I even renamed the program I made to air test in my basement 'The ManCave' and it looks hilarious on the drop down menu...LOL.

I am DEFINATELY going to run this side by side with the Etrac and see what's going on.....

I saw that winking eye Del............

All of them are very good detectors in their own rights, they compliment each others weaknesses.

Good eye Viddy.
