Adding programs via the manager question

I'm new to the etrac. I'd like to load some programs I've found on this site and others. They have the .ptrn file extension. Once I load them does it load all the settings or just the pattern?

Just the discrimination settings (Pattern) . . . settings are not in a .PTRN file
