Adapter for using my water coils on my Sovereign.

This should probably be on the "Modifications Forum" but it's good info for everyone. This mod makes your coils multi-purpose and cuts down the cost of having to buy additional coils for you machines. I made an adapter so that I could use my water hunting coils on my Sovereign, the main reason being I really like the old SeaSearch coil. It's the hottest thing out there in that size and will out perform some of the larger coils available. It also is better at rejecting Iron than the after market coils. Just a thought to pass on!

Never seen a round Seasearch coil. What are you painting them with? Do you have an info sheet available on what you did with complete instructions for the not so talented?

for it's operation and it looks better. Several coats of yellow plastic paint and a few of Floresent paint. No metal in the paint for those concerned.

Nice paint job. Mel what are the details on your connectors? Are those IKELITE?

Then I think they are the IKELITE connectors. Did you purchase those from Garrett? Please I would like to know the cost and who supplied those, if you prefer PM me. Thanks.

Geez... We would ALL like to know the paint used, and the Waterproof connector history!
Hope you will supply for us...Please?

The paints are Krylon Fusion for plastic #2330 Sunbeam Yellow base coats and Krylon Fluorescent #3104 Glowing Lemon Yellow top coats. The connectors (used $10 ea.) came from Keith Wills East Texas Metal Det. and Garrett, plus I had some of my own that I got through the years.

What about a "How To" for those of us not so talanted.....ya know like writtin instructions, step by step with some purty pictures.

I would not want to jump in, cut the cable on my Excal, and not have a clue what I'm doing.

Appreciate the help.
