Adam and I had a great day.......

Musket balls, several pewter and brass flat buttons, 4 early large cents, half a shoe buckle and the misc. low conductive garbage. The Little Piggy (Gold bug SE) is super fast identifying targets and very hot on lead , pewter and brass. It has excellent iron disc on small targets. Adam got an 8" large cent with it in bone dry ground. I used the Big Bad Wolf (LTD) and we compared most signals and the Bug heard everyone of the good signals that I detected with the LTD. The modulated audio on the bug has four very distinct tones. First the low grunt of iron then the high pitch on shallow good targets followed by two lower pitches on good targets based on their depth. The sound is is the same for sure as my old Lobo ST. But add the meter, fast processor and it is a great value for the money. But beware. Tin will drive you crazy. Don't have the 11inch coil yet but in the all metal mode it is the deepest small coil I have used. Off to the beach tomorrow.

It might be a long day at the beach with 5 inch coil.
What state are u hunting .
I am on the MA/NH border and the GB is stable in the wet sand with II in coil

Detectorguru, interesting to read your short comparison between the gbse and the f75ltd, I ordered a goldbug pro back in may i think? Heard some of the bad stuff about the se and got tired of waiting for the pro so I bought a ltd. But................I may still purchase the pro if and when it comes in. I think it might turn out to be one heckofa machine, from what i have read abought the se,it should be the same, just as good I hope!! hh rick in mi.

the separation is still there and the depth jumps up..I dug a watch key yesterday a good 8 inches in some red iron oxide type dirt...You know how hard they are to hear ... especially in funky dirt....

Sound's like you are enjoying it...

Keith

Yes that was expected however you can learn some things like in the all metal mode iron targets sound just like cold rocks in minerals and it balanced the salt wet salt with no problem.
