Found a small patch of green today in town that was about 25yrds x 25yrds...digging was easy, no real frost. Tried out my new used WOT for about 2 hrs. Only found 2 copper pennies, nothing deep and chased a bunch of iffys with no luck there. Pounded ballpark that I've beat to death with everything I got not to mention the hoards before me....lol

Anyways....It was nice to get out and we're supposed to warm up to 32 tomorrow and I noticed mid week that some grass has opened up at the grade school due to the recent warm weather. Might head there and see if the ol WOT can find any deepies, but once again....another place pounded to death by me and the rest.

Just saying that it was nice to get out and dig!!!!!!!!

Must be great to get out and detect this time of year whether keepers are found or not.

Me, i got a 100 yards of snow to plow, my ATV battery died, replaced battery, now winch for the plow blade is broke-parts on order.
My old trusty Jeep XJ with 300K miles is no longer trusty, won't start-think its the crank sensor not looking forward to changing it this time of year. Lucky i bought that new Jeep last Summer, i think my old Jeep is jealous!
My car is doing random strange things-put off looking into that long enough.
My old snow blower is leaking gas out of the carb badly-need to fix that also.
And a bunch of other projects i put off while detecting last Summer.
It never ends til next detecting season. Then the cycle starts all over again.

yeppers....it never ends! Only had to plow twice this yr but early this winter we had some 10-15 below zero crap and frost got drove in deep, then some snow. Weather guy just said 50's by the weekend...!!!!!! Might head into the big city and try an over-nighter soon? Only place there's any decent amount of older silver to find....Podunk where I live is pretty well void of any public silver coins. Gas being 1.90 gal makes a trip to the big city half afordable except for the motel part....110mi one way. Got the itch bad tho.....

it was kinda nice to get out a little...hang in there...it won't be long!!!!!

Glad to hear you got out. I was over in your neck of the woods a couple of weekends ago visiting the daughter in law and her family. Took along my 1280X and water scoop. Waded in the river at a couple of beaches. Found a small amount of clad, some fishing weights and old lures, some junk. Found a '44 wheat on the far side of the boat launch, no silver. Good luck in the big city when you go.
For some reason they haven't lowered the level in Lake CDA this winter like they normally do, I was hoping to do lots of wading this winter.
