I picked up my new detector the day before my 33rd birthday. Since then I've only hunted 1 property outside of my yard, the neighbors and my mothers. Here is a list of my finds to date. I will try and get some pics up later but my laptop doesn't like me very well. :)

The neighbors yard (mid 1800's home):

1847 large cent about 8" deep
1920 standing liberty quarter about 3" deep
5 silver dimes
- 1928
- 1930
- 1942
- 1953
- 1964 (looks like it's been hit by a mower)
1942 Nederlandsch Indie 1 cent piece.

My yard (home built in 194:geek::

1888 Indian head
1958 quarter
1942 dime
1951 dime

I've also found a few Avon jewelry pieces and what appears to be a broach pin made from copper and what I'm certain are fake diamonds.

In my mother's field, over found the front half of a piggy bank that I've found belongs to the early 1900's but no coins worth mentioning.

Hopefully I can get some pics up soon. I have to say, I'm quite pleased with my XLT and the more I learn, the more I like it. The Indiana head I found is in an area I've pounded and it quite trashy but something about the signal grabbed my attention. It's my first Indian I've found with my detector. I've found a 1903 Indian in a roll of pennies but it wasn't as rewarding. What's odd is that I was going through my coin hoard and came across the 1903 which prompted me to grab my detector and hit the back yard. I'm assuming it was the 1888 screaming at me telepathically. :)

Sounds to me like your going to have a blast with that XLT you just got!!!! Yea get some pics up and lets see those finds!!!
