This Sun Ray coil is around $200 new. I've hardly used it myself and it should be in real good shape, but before doing the deal I'll send you some better pictures of it than the one below I had taken a while back so you can examine condition. I really haven't paid much attention to how good of shape it's in but hardly using it probably means it's in decent shape, which I'll report on and provide pictures once I'm contacted in a PM or here about that. Highest PM offer price wise gets the S-5 if it's not traded for a Ultimate, and if the offer is within reason.
I was originally looking to trade it for a 8" Tornado, but I've since acquired a Tornado on my own, so at this time I'm only willing to sell the S-5 outright or to trade it for a 13" Ultimate for the BBS machines (Sovereign/Excalibur) that is in fine working condition, as is this S-5. The S-5 is really 5.5" in actual size. A very tiny coil, and we all know of Sun Ray's reputation for making a quality product.
In the limited time I've used this coil I've dug one silver dime at 7.5" deep or so, which was pretty impressive depth wise to me, as the best of my prior machines could just hardly achieve that kind of depth on a silver dime in my soil even with a much larger coil. The fact that the little S-5 did that kind of depth in my soil was something to me, especially since it banged on the dime so hard I think it could have been another two or so inches deeper and I would still have heard it. However, I plan to use the Tornado as my future trash coil, so the S-5 must go.
The picture below is the S-5 sitting beside my 10" Tornado and not the 8" Tornado, to judge size... The picture is a bit blurry so don't let that throw you...
