Thinking of getting one for my teen age son.. what is the difference in this two machines ??

sorry people notice someone posted same question as me at the same time i was writing this post....

The ACE 350 is a better version over the previous ACE 250......it has newer technology built into it, has a new coil design. Maybe Uncle Willy can further comment on the ACE 350, as he has been doing some field testing on his.

:usaflag:I was gonna say that the 350 is geared more towards relic hunting and the 250 is more for coins. Better target separation with the 350's coil though.

Higher frequency, new DD coil, and an iron resolution chip, and much easier to pinpoint with. Go for the 350 to keep up with the technology. If money is a problem the 250 is still as great as it ever was and you won't be out much if your youngun decides it ain't for him and it's an easy sell..

The ace 350 is the better one. It comes with the DD coil, which you can buy for the 250 for over $100, and the 350 is $80 more than the 250. Some people say the DD coil is like both the sniper coil and the 9x12, and it also works well on salt water and minerals.
