ace250 vs coinmaster pro!

My son has the ace and its a great machine wife wants a coinmaster, which is the best for the money?

I will hesitantly suggest the Coinmaster Pro. I would also suggest a smaller-than-stock coil with either to better hunt in and around trash or metal structures.

If it is due to the cost and you want simplicity of turn-on-and-go operation, I personally favor the Teknetics Delta.

Just my opinions,

Monte

Thanks Monte for the feed back!

Yeah, I almost got rid of my Ace and Monte recommended the sniper coil. Made a different machine outta the Ace. Thanks, Monte.

hesitant because I have owned four (4) Ace 250's and two (2) Prism/Coinmaster models. I have also borrowed and/or used these models in some seminar demonstrations. For the dollar, they are okay, at least in favorable ground mineral environments. In bad ground I have had more issue with the Ace 250 due to the Ground Balance setting. The problem with the Prism and Coinmaster series is that the GB settings between the Disc. and Pinpoint/All Metal modes can be different and, at times, they can also have issues. I have never experienced similar problems with the Teknetics Delta.

I also hunt a lot of trashy sites and my experience has proven to me that a good quick-response/fast-recovery circuit design handles dense trash conditions much better. The Garrett Ace 250 has a delayed response that annoys me. The Prism/Coinmaster models also have a delayed response. When in dense trash I always use a smaller-than-stock coil and with the Ace 250 that is the 4

There are three local guys who were frustrated with their Ace 250's and then I encouraged them to try the Sniper coil. The did, but thought it was going to be too small to get any depth or performance. Now, the Ace 250 w/4

Thanks Monte you have been a lot of help for me, very informative that's what I needed to know, best of luck Hank.

I have not used the coin master buy have used the ace and the delta. The delta is more jumpy with out question, on Target ID. With stock coils you will get closer to playground equip with the ace forsure.

The ace stock coil shape is better for tighter areas. Resale is much better witht the ace.

Delta is much lighter, much easier to read large display, then both coinmaster and ace.

Delta extremely sensitive to emi, almost to a fault.

Just some thoughts for ya.

Monte is right on.

Mike
