Ace250 Turns in 40Q day

Did some hunting while waiting for a front end alinement on my truck. A short walk from the garage and I was hunting. 40 Quarters plus change coming to $11.45 no goodies. You know I've had my Ace for a good while now. Never any trouble real relieable. It wouldn't take much to make it water proof. Bet sales would take off. I mean how many of us really need a two grand machine? I am having a funny yr. Finding a lot more coins but fewer rings. Still having fun!

I try to go by tones, but dang it's so much fun to look at that ID and see it on the quarter icon. Last year I got 3 quarters together and it jumped to 50 cents. Didn't have a 75 cent icon.:poke:

Nice hunt!:garrett::detecting: Great clad haul!:clapping: Thanks for sharing!
Regarding the Ace 250 waterproof comment, I remember that John had modified his Ace 250 years ago to be water proof. Maybe do a search in the archive mods section to find some posts and pics of modified waterproof Aces (if you're interested). Just a thought.
Happy Hunting!:)

I recently sold off my ACE to a local farm wife interested in the hobby. I find that my AT Pro does the same and much more. My ACE was tough and ultra reliable for about five years ? There were a couple of summers when I'd go for a motorcycle ride on my street bike and I'd bring the ACE. I'd collapse the shaft and bungee cord the ACE horizontaly across the rear turn signal stocks. Good machine, but you see what you are missing when you get an AT Pro. I was fortunate enough to make many wonderful recoveries with the ACE 250. I will always have positive memories of using that machine
