Ace250 and Relics

How does the Ace 250 work in the relic mode?
Will it still pick up coins and gold rings even though I am in relic search mode?

Yes it will pick up just about everything in the relic mode.

and you will dig a lot of junk. unless you notch it out.
 
I use this mode most often. If you keep the ACE in coin mode there is a good chance of missing an early date Indian Head Penny, a Fyying Eagle Cent or various early flat buttons. All of these will ring somewhere below a penny, but above the nickel reading. I am not sure about silver 3 cent pieces or half dimes, but I know small silver jewelry can sometimes read much lower than a penny as well.
