[attachment 163321 P1010191S.JPG]Here I am using the Ace as quickly as possible on the beach.

[attachment 163323 P1010202S.JPG]A few Manitoba friends with their successful coin finds.

[attachment 163325 P1010205S.JPG]Overview of the coins that I found on those hunts.

[attachment 163327 P1010207S.JPG]A picture of the rosies and mercs that I acquired in the hunts.

The Ace 250 with a 12" coil was very capable and I was above average in my total finds.

Great job Joel .Going up against you and your Ace 250 those guys were at a big disadvantage :) Way to represent out there.Look like a good time was had by all.

Man oh man! Nice haul. How much was the entry fee? You really did well.

Chris

Joel - where did you get that nifty yellow/black belt pouch? I haven't ever seen that one before.

Chris the entry fee was $100 US .
This was a two day affair for the hunt with a total of five half hour hunts.
Put on by a Detector club out of Minnesota .
There was also raffles for silver coins about five before the hunts.
Prizes also involved in any tokens that were dug with the top prize a Garretts 550 which was won by a young lady (15) who
was there with her father. Really happy to see her win it !
I was not lucky in the raffle draws :sadwalk:other wise I'm happy with the silver dime count:thumbup:
The only problem that I encountered was getting two close to the other Garrett machine especially other ACE 250
my ACE would go crazy !

tulsa that pouch I picked up at a garage sale . I liked the colours matched the ACE's and had the shoe repair people sew a belt on it and cut up and pasted a
Garretts beer decal on the front of the bag. The inside of the bag is water proof and I think it was a baby bottle holder before that:laugh:

Those mercury dimes are nice. Didn't I see a buffalo nickel in the upper right hand corner?

Were those coins planted in the sand specifically for the hunt? I can't beleive that many coins would be on a beach of that size.
Lot of the coins were on edge and most were about two inches under the sand.
I may have been a little above average on my finds.
The coins that you see in the picture is the total of five half hour hunts, on the beach they only had the big coins one dollar and up.
Amongst those ordinary new coins were silver ones planted which I never got lucky enough to find any.
