.....ACE 350....

...I am thinking about getting an ACE 350....I would like to hear from anyone who has one ....I would like to hear the Pro's and the Con's....I am mainly interested in this detector due to the 10 by 14 inch coil.........Thanks Joe

I can't think of any cons. It's more of a relic hunter than a coin hunter, although it holds it own as a coinshooter. I got 3 gold rings with mine on the first 2 hunts and that paid for it. You will have to order the 10 x 14 DD seperately as it comes with the 8 1/2 x 11 DD coil.

I have enjoyed my 350. They are hard to beat for the money. I will probably upgrade one day, but for the time being the Ace is great.
When I do up grade, I will already have a good back detector in the 350.

would opt for the 9-12 Pro-formance coil.............Not sure I'm sold on the DD.....It really loves bottle caps....There's the wiggle method after coming off the target etc ..Can't help making you wonder what it really is?...I have the 350 but in reading the many posts here I think the 250 would have been better for me as a starter detector.......I have found some really cool finds with mine however..Not trashing it, I guess they all have something we don't like............Dave in Balto

I really like mine and have found targets 8" deep. It does like bottle caps and not very good in wet sand on the beaches. It was a good first detector for me.

Hi there. Found heaps with mine. Go for it. Awesome on coins. Awesome all round.

You would be surprised how far down a 350 will pick up. The signal wont be so clear so far down but it does go quite deeper than i first thought. Ive been buring lead sinkers around the backyard. Gone over 300mm. And the 350 is styly so you look good at the same time. Quick identification, easy to use, turn on and go. Picks up most targets. Cant dig to china...lol.

I'm a newbie with my first being the Ace 350. I've be learning to use it and like everyone says, "it's a turn on and go machine." I've only used it several times and I have picked up targets quickly. Some have been showing up at the 8+ deep. I have not dug down for the target that deep due to the hard clay and in some cases in lawns since I do not target well. I will later when I get better. I targeted and dug up a piece of a rusty can that showed a dept of 8+ but it was down about 13". I was impressed with how deep it was but at that it was in a sandy wash in the creek that I was swingin' on. I'm new and have found a new hobby for retirement. I may get a few more detectors along the way since this is exciting just like fishing for the big one. :detecting:  Good hunting to you.
