Ace 350 recovery speed?

Old Katz

New member
I have to wonder if the recovery speed on the Ace 350 will be any better than the 250.

While I am on the subject, and never having use any other Garrett machine, how does the
recovery speed of the Ace 250 compare to the GTIs and other Garrett machines.
Kelly Co is already selling it.
I notice that on the face plate All metal is not there.

It will most likely have the same recovery speed. With standard coils on, the Ace has a much faster recovery speed than the GTI. When the GTI has the 5x10 DD coil on, it has a faster recovery speed than the Ace. The recovery speed of the Ace will increase with the new DD coil on it. All due to the layout of a DD coil verses a concentric coil.I think that the Aces recovery speed will be faster than the green Garrett's due to the fact that the circuitry has to process less information.

Although I'm a Garrett fan and a Garrett user only, all Garrett's have a slow recovery speed. I'm waiting to buy a new
Garrett when they update the electronics and come up with something that can match the Minelabs......hopefully.

Your absolutely right Mick. I never had a problem with recovery speed with the 250 anyway. I simply slow my sweep in trash and the machine goes off like a popcorn popper. I think the trick is running relic or all metal mode in trash. Then when you hear a high tone blip you go back and narrow in on it.
