ACE 350 in Atlanta Metro area

Got my ACE 350 couple of weeks ago - first detector I have owned and I am pretty happy with it so far - easy to use - easy pinpoint.

I have been hunting some old house sites and old fields - I have found plenty of clad, but no older coins as of yet.

I think the double d does a fine job with the mineralization and separation - but I have this nagging feeling that older coins are eluding me because I dint have a
ground balance. You would think with 2 older home sites and a couple of old farmer fields turned into parks - would produce older coins.

I know the ACE 350 is touted as more of a relic hunter - but it seems to hit clad ok at 4-8 inches. So.. the question is - would a detector with ground balance really help me find older coins better? - Like.. $400-$500 dollars better ???

Also wondering what other ACE 350 users in red clay have experienced in finding older coins.

Thanks in advance for the response

That Ace 350 is fine for Georgia as long as your using the DD for relic hunts. The 6x9 concentric will hit coins a bit harder there...I'd give it a try.
