Well it is stamped 14k Italy. I was rambling through a park, crossing the ball field, heading for a picnic area, and I got a signal that was bouncing penny/dime. No lock on either one. I thought it was another penny, since I just dug one at 9" in the sandy soil. It was less than 2" deep. Said to myself "looks like another zipper pull". It was packed with clay-like mud. When I got home and was cleaning up the clad, I was surprised to see what I thought was a clump of mud, was actually the face on a religious medal. Turned it over and saw the stamp. My first gold with the ACE350, and still on my first set of batteries. Oh yeah, I also dug 22 bottle and screw caps. Kinda rough on an old man.
