ace 350 discrimination

If I discrim all iron and 2 foil bars but kept the 5cent and pull tab,could I be possibly missing out on finding gold rings or small gold idems? I'm asking this because my bounty hunter discovery 3300 vdi numbers for a good signal to dig is 50s 60s 70s anything higher is classified as regular clad or dollars.i;m new to this ace 350 and it pics up a lot more signals than my 3300.i'm just wondering if I can set the ace like I do my 3300. can anyone help me thx? john.P.S I was going to ake both out and do aa comparison test what do you think?

Hi John. I don't run a 350 but I have a 250 and mostly hunt with an F70 Fisher. My experience is that a small ladies gold ring will come in at about the same signal as a round foil seal like on smaller plastic milk bottles. These have a numeric value on the F70 of about 20 to 22 which means nothing to the ace 350 user but if you test it on that size seal you will know which foil bracket you need to leave in -------Hope this helps--------------IB

thx IB I will certainly try that,but with this machine new to me I've dug more trash than ever looking for that one ring but I know that one day it will appear, I just have to be patient.

Whenever I'm in an impossible tab zone, I go to my customs mode on my 250 which has the coins mode setup BUT with foil left in.
That way I still get some of the small 10k rings.
