Ace 350 and jewelry

Smudge

New member
I was on Garrett's website and it shows that Ace 350 as "Highly Recommend" for use in hunting for jewlery, while the 250 is only "Recommended".

Why do you think this is?

I know the Ace 350 runs at a slightly higher frequency, but not enough in my view to make that much of a difference.

Is it the DD coil?

...Probably just a play of words from advertising.....Larger DD coil will go deeper for deeper jewelry but all in all a Garrett is a Garrett and all models like both silver and gold jewelry....

The discriminate can go lower than the Ace and thus some small gold should be picked up better-a sort of miniscule difference as far as rings are concerned.

Probably because it is an improved version.....both work well for jewellery, it's just that the ACE 350 gets better depth and handles higher mineralization in the soil much better.
